Description

The XE2 embedded x64 / x86 single board computer offers high performance, low power and long design life in a small form factor. XE2 supports a variety of processors from Intel’s Alder Lake-N, Amston Lake and Twin Lake families. Offering quad core solutions in both standard and wide temperature specifications. Complimenting the CPU is high performance Xe DirectX 12.1 GPU and a powerful VPU including AV1 encode and decode in just 6W TDP. The custom heatsink design allows for operation in a 60C ambient with passive cooling.

Able to to run Windows 11 IoT Enterprise and other desktop versions of Windows 11 as well as Linux distributions, the XE2 is the ideal choice for customers wanting to run their industrial applications with little fuss.

Overall performance is maximised with chip on board 4800MT/s LPDDR5 DRAM in both 8GB / 16GB options. A choice of onboard 64/128GB eMMC or M.2 2230 PCIe 3 x2 NMVE offers both low cost and high performance storage options.

Plentiful expansion options via 1 x 2.5Gbps ethernet, 3 x M.2, 2 x USB3.1, 2 x USB2.0.  The 50way expansion header further offers GPIO, I2C, USB2, Audio In/Out, for demanding embedded applications.

The LVDS output is designed to work with our standard 7.1″, 9.7″ and 12″ LCDs.  Enabling integration to the Beta HMI mechanical configurations for easy assembly into your systems.  A HDMI2.0 interface is provided for connection to standard monitors. LVDS and HDMI outputs are able to operate as two independent screens.

The components used in XE2 have been selected for demanding industrial environments with system functionality preserved in a 60C ambient and a component lifecycle that sees availability to 2036 and beyond.

All in all XE2 is a compelling solution for embedded applications.
